Enrolment :
- There are 4 terms in one academic year: February, April, July and October. There are usually 2-3 weeks break between terms.
- Term 1 starts in February and term 4 finishes in early December.
- Students may start at any terms subject to meeting the English and academic requirements.
Entry Requirement:
- Assessment on student's most current 2-3 years school reports.
- Most private schools require students to take an AEAS assessment (Australian Education Assessment Services). AEC is an authorised AEAS test centre. For further information, please call AEC on 2598 6166.
English Requirement:
Students whose first language is English will be able to start the Australian schooling directly. Non-English speaking students may be required to take English language course (High school preparation) subject to the individual's English level. Most Hong Kong students are usually required to take about 3-4 months of High school preparation before the school course.
Guardianship options:
Students under age 18 are required to have guardianship arrangement.
- Some schools are willing to act as guardian for students
- Some students will nominate an appointed guardian company to organize one for them
- Students can also nominate a close family friend or relative who resides in Australia to act as their guardian
