Again, living costs vary from state to state and person to person. Generally speaking, Australia's major cities (Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney) have higher living costs, whereas Australia's less populated cities (Adelaide, Hobart, and Perth) have lower living costs. The figures below give some ideas of living costs.
